Aurélia Mir-Orefice
Aurélia is currently completing her M.Sc. in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary in hopes of becoming a psychologist. Her graduate research focuses on early literacy, specifically handwriting and vocabulary development. Additionally, she is currently researching the role of bilingualism in schools.
Aurélia has received formal training in the use of various standardized assessment tools throughout her graduate program. As part of this program, she is receiving training in delivering complete psycho-educational assessments under the supervision of registered psychologists in both clinical and school-based settings. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults with various developmental, mental health and co-existing conditions. Aurélia hopes to create an inclusive, welcoming space for her clients.
Aurélia has lived in Montreal most of her life and is bilingual (English and French). Now that she lives in Calgary, she enjoys exploring the city in her free time. She has spent many years at the pool, competing and teaching swimming lessons to children and adults.
