About Us

Why a hexagon?

This six-sided polygon is not just a familiar symbol of your favourite honeycomb cereal, it is the strongest shape known on the planet. Hexagonal patterns are prevalent in nature due to their efficiency, resilience and functionality. The hexagon is so strong because it can evenly distribute stress across its anatomy, and when combined with others of its like, it becomes even stronger.

The team at Hexagon Psychology recognizes the importance of community support and are here to help you disperse the stressors in your life onto a team of caring professionals. We believe maintaining mental health is a public effort that requires resources and compassion.

Our story

Hexagon Psychology began when its founders, Dr. Mitch Colp, Dr. Ryan Matchullis, Chris Pawluk, and John Laing, decided to build a model of service delivery that could support clients in their own backyards and those who had limited access. Through offering high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessment, counselling, and speech-therapy services, we have quickly grown to become one of Canada’s premiere providers.

Operating as a private clinic in Airdrie and Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Hexagon Psychology provides in-person, phone, and online services to clients no matter where they reside in Canada.

What we offer

Our professionals offer a confidential and safe space to work through concerns. Most clients see a notable reduction in their stress levels or the specific problem areas within only a few sessions. Our team offers flexible schedules that allow most clients to receive service outside typical school or work hours, and even on weekends. We offer in-person, phone, and online appointments so that we can perform initial consultations, assessments, counselling, and/or speech therapy services.
