Dr. Mitch Colp
Dr. Mitch Colp is a Registered Psychologist and the Chief Executive Officer of Hexagon Psychology. He provides leadership across Hexagon’s psychological assessment, treatment, professional learning, and research services, ensuring that clinical care, training, and innovation are grounded in ethical practice and sound clinical judgement.
Dr. Colp works with individuals, families, and organizations through psychological assessment, treatment, and consultation. His areas of focus include neurodevelopmental conditions, complex mental health presentations, and high-stakes contexts where psychological decision making has significant personal, educational, or organizational impact. His work emphasizes careful clinical reasoning and practical recommendations that support real-world functioning.
Beyond direct clinical work, Dr. Colp provides leadership in professional education and research. He contributes to national conversations related to psychological assessment, professional standards, and the responsible integration of emerging technologies into psychological practice, with an emphasis on supporting sound clinical judgment and professional accountability.
Dr. Colp is not currently accepting new clients for direct clinical services. His role focuses on clinical leadership and supervision, including supporting registered psychologists expanding their assessment competencies, registered provisional psychologists completing requirements for independent practice, and doctoral residents training within Hexagon Psychology’s doctoral internship program.
Mitch is an avid curler and dog-lover. He lives in Airdrie with his wife Jennifer, enjoys playing his guitar, and believes that in an alternative reality he would have wound up being a DJ.
