Larissa West
Larissa is a registered psychologist who obtained her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University with specialized courses in clinical, forensic, and health psychology.
Larissa has worked extensively with youth and families within the context of the education system. Larissa’s passion is helping youth and adults overcome challenges related to learning and belonging, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and identity. Larissa has also worked extensively with clients to manage and process anxiety, depression, life stressors, and trauma. Larissa is passionate about helping clients build resiliency through a strengths-based approach that allows them to identify and meet goals to enjoy increased well-being.
Larissa provides individual counselling to youth and adults with a range of presenting issues. She has been trained to conduct mental health and educational assessments to identify problems related to learning and mental health. Larissa enjoys working collaboratively with educational and mental health support systems to promote practical skill development across multiple aspects of clients’ lives including consultation, and recommendations for success.
Larissa lives in Calgary with her husband, youngest child, multiple pets, and a variety of struggling plants. Larissa is an avid reader and photographer, and enjoys time spent outdoors and connecting with family and friends.
