Jennifer Gauthier

Doctoral Resident

Jenn is a doctoral intern who recently completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology through California Southern University. She has worked with children and youth for the past decade, initially trained as an elementary school teacher. She also holds a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria and a post-degree certificate in Sexual Health Education from the University of Alberta.

Jenn is trained in psychological assessment and has expansive knowledge about learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, depression and psychoeducational assessments. She is well-versed in IEPs, school accommodations, work accommodations, and has a plethora of resources to share.

Jenn takes a non-pathologizing approach in therapy and believes that people are not broken, but may be underskilled and underresourced. She is passionate about empowering clients to take agency in their lives and work towards mental flourishing. She provides therapy to youth and adults and enjoys working alongside clients as they improve their relationships, views of self, and capacity for resilience. She works with a wide range of youth and adult clients and believes that the therapy space should be safe enough to allow for vulnerability, but also comfortable enough to share a laugh together.

Jenn lives in Calgary and when out of office you can find her hiking in the mountains with her partner, tending to her many house plants, and trying her best at pub trivia.
