Dillon Traber
Dillon is an experienced therapist who obtained his Master of Clinical Social Work degree with a specialization in Trauma-Informed Care from the University of Calgary. Dillon primarily provides therapy to children, youth, and young/emerging adults, with family therapy integrated where possible.
Dillon has worked within a multitude of different contexts and environments over the years as a therapist including criminal justice, education, and healthcare. In these endeavours, he has focused primarily on working with children, youth, and families in areas such as trauma, family conflict, relational breakdowns, clinical assessment, mental health, and many other complex areas of life. In addition to his therapeutic work, Dillon also provides clinical supervision for up and coming therapists, counsellors, and students.
Dillon is passionate about harnessing creativity and personally tailored treatment plans in his work and is dedicated to helping clients discover strategies that work for them. Over the past few years, Dillon has shifted his clinical focus towards adolescent development and working with young people in areas such as trauma, self confidence, identity formation, and fostering healthy relationships.
Dillon lives in Calgary and can often be found chasing after his dog, Logan – aren’t human dog names the best? In his spare time, he loves to build things in his garage and take on new creative projects (and hopefully finish a few soon).
