Amy is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Education (Elementary) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. Amy has been in the field of education for over 10 years and has held a variety of roles including classroom and learning support teacher, in addition to school and system-based leadership positions.

Amy’s background in education naturally led her to pursue graduate work aimed at supporting exceptional learners. She has experience in consultation, psychological assessment, and intervention with children, adolescents, and adults in relation to a range of issues that impact learning and overall functioning including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Specific Learning Disorders, Giftedness, Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma. With the goal of building on existing strengths and natural support systems, Amy works collaboratively to maximize potential, and develop advocacy skills and resiliency.

Passionate about early intervention, Amy particularly enjoys working with young children to help them achieve their full potential and thrive. Amy is a strong advocate for the power of play, not only as a therapeutic approach but as an essential component necessary for learning and overall healthy growth and development.

Amy is a mother of 4 and enjoys an active lifestyle. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, gardening, and exploring new restaurants in and around the city.
