Aliza is a Registered Psychologist who earned her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. She comes to Hexagon with over 12 years of experience in supporting clients to achieve their mental wellness goals.

In her approach, Aliza is committed to providing services that are rooted in anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice. She embraces a collaborative and strength-based approach that supports clients to feel empowered in advocating for their needs. Aliza strives to provide space for sociocultural factors that impact mental health over the course of a person’s life, including the experience of racial, cultural, and faith-based stress.

Aliza’s primary areas of practice include PTSD and other trauma related concerns, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders, cultural/racial identity stress, assertiveness training, and healthy relationships. She also has specialized training in psychopharmacology, and provides support to clients requiring medication management assistance and advocacy for health care needs.

Outside of work, Aliza is a fitness and nature enthusiast and can often be found scaling mountains and hugging trees. She also enjoys reading and listening to podcasts, and may drink more tea than anyone else you know.
